About The Project
WISE is one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit employment service providers, committed to connecting job seekers with inclusive employers who value diversity. For the second time, WISE engaged We Are Phoenix to deliver their bi-annual Conference and Gala Celebration, bringing together over 900 plus staff members from across the country for a three-day experience in Melbourne.
The main objective was to create an inclusive, memorable and seamless multi-day program that fostered connection among staff, celebrated achievements, and brought WISE’s values to life through curated content, accessible logistics, and impactful entertainment.
What We Delivered
We Are Phoenix delivered a dynamic three-day experience across three venues and six hotels in Melbourne’s CBD. The event featured a welcome cocktail evening at Q Events with a special cultural performance by WISE staff; a full day conference at MCEC themed around human behaviour, featuring high calibre keynote speakers and moving staff stories; and a vibrant, festival-style gala at The Timber Yard brought to life with over 30 creative suppliers and performers.
The guest experience was at the heart of every decision from flying in rural guests a day early and managing mobility access, to deploying an airport welcome team and securing extended coach parking at Melbourne Airport. Guest registration via EventsAir was supported by a live inbox and evolving FAQs, ensuring clarity and convenience throughout.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with praise for both the powerful event moments and the exceptional logistics that made each guest feel welcomed, valued, and included from the moment they registered to their departure.
WISE staff were coordinated by our team to travel to Hobart from all over Australia
