Our story

Founded by Amber Coupe in 2014, Phoenix was built on the belief that when you put people first, extraordinary experiences follow. What began in the world of conferences and exhibitions has evolved into one of Australia’s most awarded experiential agencies, delivering large-scale conferences, activations, destination incentives and immersive brand experiences across the APAC region.

At the heart of Phoenix is a deeply human approach to both culture and client experience  creating a team environment grounded in loyalty, collaboration, care and high standards, which naturally flows into the way we deliver for our clients. Over the past decade, Phoenix has grown through relationships, reputation and a team of passionate people committed to creating experiences that genuinely connect, earning more than 26 industry awards along the way.

With over 23 years experience, Amber seamlessly blends innovation, human experience & artistic vision to curate unforgettable and immersive experiences. Amber founded Phoenix in Melbourne in 2013 in the corporate event sector, and in 2021 expanded the business across Australia. Now Phoenix is gaining a stellar reputation within the APAC events industry.

An experienced Executive with a background in Change & Transformation, Project Delivery and People & Culture. As CEO, Ben not only excels in mastering budgets, planning, and negotiation but is also a transformative leader empowering his team to authentically distinguish themselves. With a passion for excellence, Ben strives to redefine industry standards, ensuring the delivery of unparalleled event solutions.
Ben is know for asking the question everyone else isn the room is avoiding. Ben is basically a spreadsheet Rain Man when it comes to event finances — give him a messy budget and a pile of costs, and within minutes he's built a web of formulas that reconciles everything and spots the gaps before the team has even opened the spreadsheet.

Kim's lifes greatest passion is creating experiences for people. On weekends, she's either outdoors with her family or fully committed to a daggy craft project that no one asked for (or needed), but which she insists on completing with questionable enthusiasm

With more than 13 years of experience in the Event Industry across the UK and Australia, Sarah brings expertise in client delivery across a variety of events, ensuring unparalleled client satisfaction through meticulous planning and effective leadership and management of project teams.
She's gone from wrangling llamas to leading event teams - proving that no matter the species, she can keep things organised and under control.

Gemma is a creative and commercially minded Project Manager with over six years' experience delivering festivals, conferences, trade shows, brand activations and large-scale public events across the UK and internationally. She brings both strategic insight and hands-on production expertise to every project.

A combined 18 years' experience working across the travel, tourism, and event management industries - from managing complex group flight logistics, conferences and customer facing events, to supporting C-suite level execs and driving office operations. Experience spanning travel product sales, domestic and international itinerary planning, client and customer event management, and executive assistant roles.
When she's not coordinating events and travel for large groups, Nadia is calm, has a can-do approach, and thrives on collaboration and stepping outside her comfort zone - at home, she brings that same energy through cooking, baking, and keeping up with life as a hands-on mum!
